1. Anti-fly: After vegetables are covered with insect-proof nets, various pests such as cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moth, cabbage Spodoptera frugiperda, Spodoptera litura, bitter beetles, leaf beetles, and aphids can basically be avoided. According to the test, the control effect of the insect control net on cabbage caterpillar, diamondback moth, cowpea pod borer and Liriomyza sativa is 94-97%, and the control effect on aphids is 90%.
2. Disease prevention: Virus diseases are catastrophic diseases on many vegetables, mainly transmitted by insects, especially aphids. Because insect nets cut off the main route of transmission of pests. Thus, the infection of vegetable virus is greatly reduced, and the control effect is about 80%.
3. Adjust the temperature and humidity: The test shows that in the hot July-August, in the 25-mesh white insect-proof net, the temperature in the morning and evening is comparable to the open field, but at noon on a sunny day, it is about 1°C lower than the open field. From March to April in early spring, the temperature in the shed covered with insect-proof nets is 1-2°C higher than that of the open field, and the temperature of 5 cm ground is 0.5-1°C higher than that of the open field, which can effectively prevent frost. Insect-proof net room rain can reduce net room precipitation, sunny day can reduce net room evaporation.
4. Shade: The intensity of light in summer is high, and the strong light will inhibit the vegetative growth of vegetable crops, especially the vegetative growth of vegetable crops, while the insect-proof net can play a certain role in shading and preventing direct sunlight. The shading rate of 20-22 mesh silver-gray insect nets is generally 20-25%.
